The 1.2P DIN rail mounting extinguisher is a small fire extinguishing device that looks like a circuit breaker, with an extinguishing content of 12 grams of solid aerosol compound filling inside the canister.

- The fire extinguishing agent used inside is a highly concentrated, environmentally friendly fire extinguishing agent called “aerosol fire extinguishing agent”. It is designed for a minimum concentration of 100 grams per cubic metre.
- The detection technology used in this product is military technology – thermal wire technology. The detection function of this thermal wire is very sensitive, and the rated detection temperature is 175℃. In case of open fire, the thermal wire can automatically activate the fire extinguishing device.
- Fast extinguishing speed. It can extinguish incipient fires in power distribution facilities (e.g., leakage protection device) within 3 seconds.
- Small size and light weight. It is suitable for a small confined space.
We filled the cylinder with 12 grams of aerosol extinguishing agent, which is a bit stronger than that of a 10-gram DIN rail extinguisher.
In terms of extinguishing capacity, 10 grams of extinguishing agent can extinguish 0.1 cubic metres of space, while 12 grams of extinguishing agent can extinguish 0.12 cubic metres of space. A 12-gram extinguishing capacity is slightly better, but 10 grams is more than enough for small-scale space protection.
Our recommendations are:
- If the space in the switchgear cabinet is up to and including 0.1 cubic metres, then select 10 grams of extinguishing agent, model QRR0.01G/S/SA-EC.
- If the space in the switchgear cabinet is between 0.1 and 0.12 cubic metres, then select 12 grams of extinguishing agent, model QRR0.012G/S/SA-EC.
