The Soviets invented aerosol fire fighting technology twenty years ago and the Soviet people (Russian people) took inspiration from the military programme to create this advanced fire fighting technology.
Later, the Russians found that aerosol fire extinguishing was very effective, and they used potassium nitrate as an aerosol fire extinguishing agent and started large-scale production of aerosol fire extinguishers, which is the called ‘first-generation’ aerosol fire extinguishing devices.
And later, aerosol extinguishing technology rapidly came into America, Malaysia, and Europe Countries, they improved aerosol extinguishing formula but still used potassium nitrate as the main oxidant work for fire suppression purposes, this is called the “Second Generation” of aerosol fire extinguishing device, however, the technology is very immature and many disadvantages need to overcome.
In the 1990s a China famous Chinese enterprise called “JR” together with a famous university in Beijing of China, imported aerosol fire extinguishing technology to China, and they improved their aerosol technology by using “Strontium Nitrate” and “Potassium nitrate” as the main oxidant for fire suppression purpose.
By using the advanced aerosol technology, the aerosol fire suppression device can extinguishing fire more Environmentally Friendly, and better as a halon-alternative product.
