    When a fire occurs, the 0.4 Ampere Current Thermal Activation Device will generate about 0.4am small current to the aerosol fire extinguisher, to cause the fire extinguishing release.

    The 0.4 ampere current thermal activation is a new invention for activating the fire suppression systems.  It is specifically designed to activate our aerosol fire extinguishing devices, or to activate other fire extinguishing devices that do not exceed 0.4 amps.

    0.4 Ampere Current Thermal Activation Device

    This product has a built-in safety switch (maintenance switch) that can be turned to the “off” position when you are working on an installation, so that you don’t activate the extinguisher by mistake during the installation. When the installation is complete, turn the safety switch to the “on” position.

    It also has a signal feedback (pressure switch) function where you can set the feedback signal (pressure switch) from “N/O” to “N/C”. It usually connects with the fire alarm system or the control panel.

    The fusible metal on the top of the product is a temperature sensing probe that can detect temperatures of 70 degrees, 93 degrees, 110 degrees, 125 degrees, and more. We can customise the temperature probe and set any start-up temperature according to the customer’s specific requirements.

    This product is relatively low-cost and is mainly for our aerosol fire extinguishers. It is directly connected to the aerosol (MiniSol) to form an automatic fire extinguishing system without any external power supply.

    When the temperature of the temperature probe of the thermal detector reaches the rated value after being heated, the fire extinguishing device will be activated immediately, with an activation lag time of less than 1 second.

    New Thermal Detector

    Compared to its predecessor, this new temperature starter has the following features:

    • Lower height, the height of the previous generation is 139 mm, the height of this product is 68 mm, making it easier to install in narrow spaces.
    • The product does not require an additional junction box, saving installation space and production costs.
    • Copper coils are smaller and produce less current, but are cheaper to produce and more affordable.
    • More selective, to increase the output current, we can replace its internal components with lithium batteries or lithium ternary batteries, so that you can start the fire extinguishing system with high current requirements.

    In short, this product is relatively inexpensive, in addition to meet basic start-up functions. It is ideal for price-sensitive customers.

    This product normally works with our small aerosol fire extinguishing generators.

    It is the same as an aerosol, and it has the same areas of application as an aerosol.
    We list some of the main applications:

    • Electrical cabinets.
    • Control panels.
    • ESS energy storage containers.
    • Lithium battery packs.
    • Diesel generator room.
    • Car engine.
    • Wind turbine nacelle.

    Because of the small size of this product, it can be easily installed in tight spaces.
    Currently, it is used more on distribution cabinets and wind turbine nacelles.

    The specific design needs to be decided according to the size of the installation space.

    The temperature probe of this product is sensitive, so pay attention to the following when storing it:

    • Do not store in excessively hot areas, especially indoor temperatures that do not exceed the rated melting temperature of the probe.
    • Set the safety switch to the "OFF" position before installation to prevent activation of the fire extinguisher by mistake.
    • Copper coil-started models have a life-time of 10 years, but the longevity of battery-started models needs to be determined by the life of the batteries. When the batteries are depleted, you need to replace them with new batteries.
